I love RPG's met most of my friends through RPG's and I still have a great time playing

Like Boardgaming as well but thats complicated at the moment but still mostly fun

Like online gaming as well tend to do it solo but still

Getting into Wargaming (Kngs of War rather than Warhammer for financial reasons only)

However I want something thats just mine something I can come home and just do so I'm going to gear up the Doctor WHo collecting thing (I know I've said this before) I'm flogging gear on Ebay to finance the thing for the most part (already got just short of 50 comics on with 2 being watched and 1 bid with 9 days to go) last time I did that I earnt twice the amount I paid for them in the first place

But this means my Warhammer stuff (things that I can't use for RPG scenery, monsters etc) so stacj of books and some 40k stuff is going on

It's like swapping out one collection for another

So it's the BBC books/Virgin books novels before the series relaunch

The BBC books released since the relaunch

And big finish Audio stuff (which I love)

I enjoy getting them nearly as much as I enjoy reading/listening to them it's great!!!

  1. I just read this blog post. I hadn't realised that stories had been written for the Paul Mcgann (8th?) doctor. A very interesting idea, I must say.
I agree with Sylvester Mccoy when he said (last year) that he didn't get a 'fair crack of the whip'when he play the doctor. If he'd had Russell T Davis writing for him (or Moffat), who knows what we would have had. It may never have been cancelled in 1989.
I'm assuming you're buying from the huge range of audio cds from Amazon, since they have good prices.

  2. The 8th stuff is good but the BBC/Virgin novels etc haven't been done in years (that run at least)

The book I got was a brand new Matt Smith Doctor story called Dark Horizons (released last week)

The Audios I tend to price check between Amazon, Ebay, play.com and Big Finish themselves (Big Finish has the advantage that when you order the CD they give you the download free - well at least they did last year when I ordered a load of stuff)

  3. I usually stick to the reference books for the 2005 onwards series (I have an amazing book on the companions from William Hartnell to Donna Noble), but I'm considering giving the books and audios a try. Especially David Tennant, since he's my favorite doctor. I'll have to do some research on availability, prices etc. I need some new things.
I had considered an MMORPG but the cost is prohibitive, and my PC might not be up to it (last legs springs to mind). :D
